Around the world, even our own communities, are amazing people seeking an opportunity for a better life. Resort Watchers is the manifestation of a dream of Founder Jerry R. Reynolds, who without support used his talents to change our outlook on travel.
For over 90% of the world’s population living in developing nations, $2 a day is all they earn. While they are forced to accept rations provided by organizations like the UN, most seek the opportunity for a self sustainable future where they can provide for their family.
One Human Project is a microfinance organization started by Resort Watchers
founder. The goal was to create a responsible business model that invested in the future of communities and the world’s poor. Covering a wide range of issues from school supplies and hot lunch for needy children in the resort communities many of us visit, to microfinance loans for business, sustainable farming, water wells and schools in developing nations.
To honor that commitment, Resort Watchers has created a plan to give 5% of our yearly net earnings to fund these programs. Working closely with our friends at Kiva, Opportunity International and Agros International, we are able to ensure every dollar lent, is used with the utmost respect for the people who receive it and our amazing customers who support our efforts.
